Podcomp was founded in 2012 in Öjebyn, Norrbotten, by three individuals with deep expertise in composite materials and a shared conviction that fiber composites could transform the way we build.
Tord Gustafsson, with extensive experience from APC Composite AB and over 10 European research projects, Peter Lundmark – a researcher at the Swedish Composite Research Institute (SICOMP) and John Meiling – a specialist in manufacturing processes for sandwich laminates, together laid the foundation for what is today Podcomp.
Passion for research and technical drive has been present since the very beginning, and remains a central part of how Podcomp evolves.

What started as a small composite company under the name Blatraden AB has evolved into an established manufacturer of fiber composite bathroom modules. To date, we have delivered over 20,000 modules – without a single waterproofing failure.
In 2016, the Lindbäcks Group became the majority owner, providing Podcomp with the opportunity to grow and scale up production. In 2023, Lundqvist Trävaru joined as an investor, opening new doors for continued development.
Today, the company is led by Peter Lundmark as CEO together with Mikael Söderberg.
Our manufacturing is based in Öjebyn. This is where the expertise lies, where we have built our production facilities, and from where we deliver to construction projects all over the world.
In our modern production facility, we currently have the capacity to manufacture one complete bathroom module every hour. Factory-produced, quality-controlled, and delivered directly to the construction site.
“You fail together. Then, you succeed together.”
At Podcomp, everyone is involved and no one does things halfway. We help each other and take collective responsibility for the results. This has been our way of working since day one. This commitment was recognized in 2019 when we became the first private company in Norrbotten to win the Equality Award (Jämställdhetspriset). But the most important thing isn’t the award – it’s the fact that this is truly how we work every day.
